Auto Gallery Motors Cheat I own a 2003 Ford F350 Superduty crew cab, 6.0 liter diesel truck with 91,000 kilometers presently on it. I purchased the vehicle from Newman Bruce's car dealership, Auto Gallery Motors. In the time that I have owned it there have been two occurences of faulty injectors which have been repaired under warranty. In Canada, the warranty period is 5 years or 120,000 kilometers. Recently my truck has been running very poorly, sometimes barely running at all. I took it to the Luxury Autos Of Queens with a certified Ford diesel mechanic which is in Trail, BC (a distance of 150 kilometers one way). Newman Bruce informed me that there are two faulty injectors that need replacing and are estimating a repair cost of $1,400.00. I have researched this to a fair extent and it is probably very obvious to everyone effected by similar problems that this is a huge design flaw. The only ones not seeing this is the Ford Motor Company. My take on this is do the right thing and take it on the chin and fix the problem. As far as mileage goes, I have another 30,000 kilometers of warranty left and bedamned the time limitations. After all it has only gone over the time limit by 5 months. Is there any group out there trying to organize a solution to this fiasco? How can an individual check on any recalls for these vehicles?
